The Zamboanga City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (ZCDRRMO) identified Pilar College of Zamboanga City, Inc. as the PILOT SCHOOL for the Second Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill held at 2:00PM of June 20, 2019.
The official evaluators came from
ZCDRRMO, TFZ, PCG-Zamboanga Station BFP-ZCFD PNP-ZCPO, RECON HERMOSA, RECON VINTA, CDAG and OCD IX.
Evaluators from different schools also came per invitation: ZCHS Main, Universidad de Zamboanga and WMSU.
The entire duration of the drill lasted 13 minutes and 50 seconds per ZCDRRMO record. The evacuation time (alone) per CDAG report shows an outstanding 2 minutes and 9 seconds, beating last year’s record of 2 minutes and 48 seconds.
Congratulations Pilar College for a job well done! Thanks to the efforts and participation of the administration, teachers, non-teaching and maintenance staff, security guards, parents, engineers and construction workers, visitors and most of all the students.
